BPEC Excellence Award Winners to be presented with WCoP Celebration of Excellence Scrolls
The six winners of the BPEC Awards for Excellence 2021 have been invited as VIP guests to The Worshipful Company of Plumbers (WCoP) Annual Lecture and Dinner being held on Monday 16th May at the Royal College of Physicians, when the Master will present them with Celebration of Excellence Scrolls.
The Worshipful Company of Plumbers Annual Lecture and Dinner is a high profile and popular annual event attended by key members of the plumbing and heating industry, and the Lecture and Dinner tickets for the winners, Iain Winnard, John Murray, Matthew Mellor, Jon Conlon, David Warren and Kevin Kidd, are being sponsored by the Worshipful Company Livery.
Neil Collishaw, BPEC’s Chief Executive Officer said, “We’re proud of our long-standing partnership with the WCoP and absolutely delighted that they have made this generous gesture to celebrate the winners of the first BPEC Awards for Excellence. It’s encouraging to see them getting the recognition they deserve across the wider plumbing and heating industry.”
Details of the specific Awards for Excellence winners are:
- Best Use of Technology in the Delivery of Plumbing Training – joint winners were Jon Conlon who works for South Gloucestershire and Stroud College and David Warren who works for West Suffolk College.
- Best Plumbing Trainer in the Workplace – the winner was Matthew Mellor who works for SMART Gas Training & Assessment.
- Making a Difference in the Community – the winner was Kevin Kidd who works for James Frew Ltd.
- Best Plumbing Apprentice/Trainee – joint winners were John Murray who works for Martyn Ritchie Plumbing and is trained at North East Scotland College and Iain Winnard who works for Blair Plumbing & Heating Solutions, is a SNIPEF apprentice and attends Glasgow Clyde College
