BPEC launches new plumbing qualifications at centre road shows
BPEC recently held a very successful series of road shows attended by around 200 of its customers from approved training and assessment centres at various venues around the UK.
The road shows were a great success, providing an ideal opportunity for BPEC to meet with many key customers to discuss and consider some of the current issues affecting our industry. The road shows were also used as a platform to launch the new BPEC plumbing qualifications, BPEC now have two new plumbing qualifications available for centres in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to deliver, these are:
Level 2 NVQ Diploma Plumbing and Heating – 600/5270/3
Level 2 NVQ Diploma Installing and Maintaining Domestic Heating Systems – 600/5271/5
The above qualifications have been accepted by OFQUAL and also fulfil the necessary requirements for funding eligibility.
BPEC has spent considerable time and effort developing the new qualifications, with a specific aim of providing a ‘user-friendly’ solution for centres wishing to deliver them. We recognise that centres rightly expect and deserve high levels of help and support when working with us to deliver the qualifications, our priority is to provide such help and support.
BPEC are also working on the development of the Level 3 plumbing qualification with the various fuel options e.g. gas and renewable technologies – these will be available from January 2013. Other qualifications under development include the new Green Deal advisor and energy assessor qualifications.
