Charity Manager and Business Development Manager join the BPEC team

We would like to welcome the latest newcomers to the growing team here at BPEC – Michael Reeves and Jon Price. Pictured above are Michael (left) and Jon (right) being welcomed to BPEC by CEO Neil Collishaw.

Michael joins us as our Charity Manager and will oversee our charitable activities which include the annual SkillPLUMB competition. Michael will also be supporting our Business Development Programme.

Michael has over 40 years’ experience working within the building services engineering (BSE) sector. Michael started as an apprentice draughtsman, but soon realised that he enjoyed ‘hands on’ rather than the drawing board, so joined his family heating business as a trainee, working his way up to become joint owner.

Michael moved into the world of refrigeration, working as a National Training Manager for a commercial refrigeration company, and also worked as a Development Manager for SummitSkills, a Sector Skills Council for the BSE sector.

Jon joins us from Chesterfield College. He has worked within construction and engineering apprenticeships for 8 years, supporting both employers and young people with advice and guidance. Jon joined Chesterfield College in 2014 and was closely involved with the development of the construction and engineering department. In particular Jon worked with the plumbing and gas curriculum to increase apprenticeship numbers and to support and encourage more young people into the trade.

As our Business Development Manager, Jon will be working to continually strengthen centre and college partnerships, and he will also be creating new partnerships as our business continues to move forward.
