Entries open for the 2015 BPEC Charity Life Award
Training and certification organisation BPEC has launched its search for next year’s recipient of the BPEC Charity Life Award.
This Award offers up to £15,000 for using plumbing skills to enhance people’s life. The aim of the Award is to recognise and facilitate the use of plumbing skills to improve the lives of others in the UK and abroad through knowledge, imagination and determination.
Submissions can be of any nature including product innovation, training initiatives and charitable plumbing activities. We expect to see personal development of plumbing operatives at the core of the submissions. The Life Award is available to all persons (above the age of twenty) operating in or connected to the UK plumbing and heating industry.
Following the success of the 2012 & 2013 BPEC Charity Life Awards where almost £60,000 was given out to support a diverse range of projects, BPEC have again awarded over £35,000 to three deserving projects from the 2014 applicants.
“The submissions we received over the first two years were fantastic with real life changing effects. The plumbing industry has demonstrated real skill and dedication as you can see on our website,” said BPEC chairman Frank Glover.
“2014 has seen another brilliant Life Award, the panel have been truly inspired by the submissions.”
Now BPEC is looking for entries to next year’s awards, which are made in memory of BPEC’s founding Chairman Raymond J Brooks.
The closing date for applications is 30 June 2015.
