What is a BPEC Endorsed Approval?
BPEC Endorsed approval is for employers, colleges and organisations who want to raise the standards of their own training activities. An internal training course which is not regulated and would like it to be more prominent. The course and content are owned entirely by the employer, college or organisation. BPEC reviews the course content and structure ensuring that the course has:
- clear learning outcomes
- teaching and learning time appropriate to learning results.
- thorough and accurate training material.
- an appropriate delivery model.
What does it mean to endorse a course?
An Endorsed Course is a course which BPEC has assessed and endorsed as a suitable and beneficial learning programme.
Does the Endorsed course cover the requirements for competent persons schemes?
No, an Endorsed Course is not suitable for entry onto a Competent Persons Scheme.
Can an organisation have more then one Endorsed Course?
Yes, each course will be required to complete a BPEC Endorsed application form and go through the BPEC review and validation process.
What is a BPEC Endorsed Certificate?
A BPEC Endorsed certificate does not provide formal external validation, it is a certificate of attendance, completion, or achievement (confirmation the learner has successfully completed the requirements of the endorsed course)
How long will it take for me to receive my certificate?
BPEC will issue a Certificate of attendance, completion, or achievement and send directly to the organisation where you completed the Endorsed Course, who will distribute to you accordingly.
If you are waiting for a certificate, you should always contact the organisation initially.
I have received my endorsed certificate and there is an error.
If you receive your certificate and there is an error (e.g. name spelt incorrectly) please contact the organisation you took your endorsed course with.

Organisations design the course to meet specific requirements to support its industry or business CPD needs.
What does BPEC look for in an Endorsed course?
Some of the checks we carry out when reviewing the content include:
- Does the course have an appropriate delivery model with clear structure, learning outcomes, teaching, and learning time.
- Are assessments fit for purpose.
- If the course content is thorough and training material technically correct and accurate
- Is the course valid and credible.
Who can apply for Endorsed Course Approval?
Any organisation that has an unregulated course can request for their course to be reviewed and validated for an Endorsed Approval.

A BPEC Endorsed course will have gone through a rigorous approval process, ensuring the training activities are valid, credible and meet the learners’ requirements.
How does an organisation gain BPEC Endorsed Approval.

How do I know if a course is Endorsed by BPEC.
The Organisation that has an Endorsed Approval for their training activities receives formal notification of BPEC approval and can use the BPEC Endorsed Logo on their advertising.

BPEC can grant organisations a limited right to use its Endorsed logos. BPEC does not permit use of any company logos to certificate holders.
