New BPEC Gas Qualification Launched

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new qualification: BPEC Level 3 Diploma in Gas Engineering.

This has been designed for apprentices who are completing the Gas Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard ST0155. The qualification is also available to other learners wishing to pursue a gas engineering career within the Building Services Engineering sector.

Follow this link to the Qualification Specification which gives further information including the gas pathway options that are available. And details of both the on-programme training requirements and a detailed overview of the End-point Assessment process can be found within the Gas Engineering Assessment Plan STO155/AP02.

A range of tutor support resources to help centres and their staff in the delivery of this qualification are currently available. These include:

• Schemes of work
• Centre guidance documents
• Gas learning manuals/textbooks – available via the BPEC shop
• PowerPoint presentations
