Assessment Information

Although available for anyone to undertake the main purpose of this qualification is to provide a vehicle by which experienced workers within the plumbing sector can demonstrate the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for registration with the WaterSafe scheme.

  • J/504/6559 Safe Customer Care and Site Preparation
  • F/504/6561 Safe Cold Water Systems
  • J/504/6562 Safe Installation of Sanitation Systems
  • T/504/1602 Water Supply ‘Water Fittings’ Regulations and Water Byelaws in the UK
  • D/504/1545 The installation, commissioning and safety aspects of hot water systems for domestic use in accordance with UK building regulations

Primarily the qualification is designed for experienced workers in the Plumbing Industry.

Further Information

Assessments consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations.

In addition to completing the qualification, experienced workers wanting to join the Watersafe scheme must undertake a written assessment developed by  Watersafe, and have been working in the plumbing industry for a minimum of 5 years
