Dickies Workwear joins forces with BPEC to support skillPLUMB

This year’s skillPLUMB competitors are set to benefit greatly following a new partnership with Dickies Workwear.

Dickies’ sponsorship will include clothing and safety footwear for all skillPLUMB national final contestants, plus t-shirts for competitors at the regional heats. Dickies will also provide clothing and footwear for judges and delivery teams at the national finals for each competition.

Registration for skillPLUMB 2019 is open between 1st March and 5th April. The event sees talented young plumbers test their expertise on a series of challenging practical tests in a bid to be named the skillPLUMB UK champion. Between March and June a number of regional events are held across the UK – those who score most highly will progress to a grand final held in November at WorldSkills UK LIVE at the NEC, Birmingham which attracts over 80,000 visitors.

“We’re extremely happy to embark on this new relationship with Dickies” said Neil Collishaw of BPEC “We know the skillPLUMB competitors will really appreciate the clothing provided, and we would like to thank Dickies on their behalf”.

James Whitaker, Marketing Director, Dickies Workwear said “Having the right workwear for the job can play a big role in helping trainee tradespeople prepare for a successful career – both in terms of comfort, practicality and safety as well as creating a professional image. We wish all contestants taking part in this year’s competitions the best of luck and hope the workwear we’re providing gives them the support they need to do well in these contests and in their future careers”.
