These Terms & Conditions apply to applications to the BPEC Sport Award. Submission of an application is deemed acceptance of these Terms.

Aim of the Sport Award

The Sport Award aims to provide support to any individual or team connected to the UK Plumbing and Heating Industry who is also involved in sport and would benefit from a financial grant to assist them attain a higher level of knowledge, skill and achievement in their chosen sport.

The Sport Award encourages sporting excellence of individuals or teams. The key aim of the award is to support individuals or teams who have proven ability in sport to attain a higher level of sporting skill.

Terms & Conditions

• The Sports Award will provide financial resource to an individual or team in support of activities described in the above aim.
• The contribution may be made in partnership with other organisations or stakeholders. 
• The value of the grant will normally be up to a maximum of £2,500
• The financial resources will be provided in the form of a non-repayable grant. 
• Applications will need to contain details of the following;
• what the grant would be used for,
• cost of the coaching/equipment/qualification, and
• your connection with the industry

Applicants must be:

• Currently connected with the UK Plumbing & Heating Industry.
• 18 years of age or older at the time of application, however the beneficiary of the award could be younger
• Involved in sport and demonstrate a real desire to attain a higher level of sporting skill
• Aware and agree that all entries and any supporting evidence and attachments become and remain the property of BPEC

Examples of Activities Supported

• to reach a higher level of sporting skill or ability
• to receive additional one-to-one coaching from an expert
• to compete at regional/national/international sporting events
• to achieve a coaching/umpire/referee award or to improve existing coaching skills, and help pass on sporting skills/excellence to others
• to access specialist coaching/equipment to enhance sporting skills
• to help develop teams/individuals improve their sporting talent

• There is no closing date for applications to the BPEC Sport Award
• Applications will be screened by BPEC staff prior to submission and approval by the BPEC Trustees
• Applications are reviewed by the BPEC Trustees quarterly
