Besides its various charitable funds, the BPEC Charity also supports and funds activities such as skills competitions, safety awareness videos and the development of learning materials and qualifications to meet the needs of the plumbing, heating and gas industries.
SkillPlumb
BPEC believes that setting a challenge to young apprentice plumbers that requires them to work to exacting standards within tight timescales is a way of raising standards throughout the industry. The winner of the annual SkillPLUMB competition has the opportunity to go forward and compete with young plumbers from across the globe in the World Skills Competition.
Safety Awareness
The BPEC Charity provides safety awareness videos for the industry and for the general public. To date these cover the dangers of Asbestos, Electrical Safety and the risks of Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
World Plumbing Council
BPEC are members of the World Plumbing Council and actively support the work the council does in promoting training, education and professional standards in plumbing across the world.
