Created by Gas Safe Charity, Get Gas Safe makes it easy for teachers to equip their pupils aged 9 to 11 with the information that they need to stay safe.
Every year carbon monoxide poisoning, gas leaks, fires and explosions cause deaths and injuries which could be prevented if everybody followed a few simple safety precautions.
Use Gas Safe Charity’s free educational resources to build gas safety into your PSHE lessons or assemblies on home safety, or into your school’s Safety Week. Pupils will:
- Identify hazards around the home
- Think about how they can manage risk responsibly
- Learn all about gas, the hazard that can’t be seen
- Find out how they and their families can get gas safe
