Important ACS News Update

The 1st October ACS Disc has been postponed until 1st January 2016.

This has been requested by EU Skills Standards and Development Unit to allow Certification Bodies time to format the assessment documentation to cover the new Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure (GIUSP) and BS 7967:2015.  It is highly likely that there will still be an April 2016 disc (to be confirmed).

The Unsafe Situations Procedure changes will affect all core and changeover, plus appliance modules.  Therefore, the amount of changes to assessment documentation is considerable.  Gas Safe have confirmed that they will allow a 12 month lead in period for operatives to adopt the new Unsafe Situations Procedure (from July 2015 to July 2016).

The latest GIUSP – Edition 7, issued 1 2015  is posted on the Gas Safe website.
