Do you have what it takes to be a BPEC Independent End-point Assessor?
BPEC is looking to recruit experienced freelance regional assessors to join our team of Independent End-point Assessors (IEPA), who have the competencies to assess on the following English apprenticeship standards:
- Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician
- Gas Engineering – Domestic and Commercial
- Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician (FESS)
Being an assessor isn’t just about ticking boxes as tasks are completed, you’ll need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to offer appropriate, constructive feedback to assessment candidates.
At BPEC we understand the pressures that apprentices are under when taking their end-point assessment (EPA) so we’re looking for assessors who share our understanding and are able to put apprentices at ease prior to and during their EPA… and of course you’ll need to make sound judgements about competency that will stand up to internal and external scrutiny, so good record keeping is crucial.
BPEC will offer you high levels of learning materials and ongoing support whilst you are working for us in these rewarding roles, so if you’re experienced but feel a little rusty, don’t worry.
Person and job specifications are available and can be found by following the links below:
- Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician IEPA
- Gas Engineering IEPA
- Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician (FESS) IEPA
If you’re interested in assessing against any of the standards, are a qualified assessor and hold the relevant industry recognised qualifications to assess against the standard, as per the person and job specifications above, please complete BPEC’s IEPA application form and send to epa@bpec.org.uk together with your CV and a covering letter .
