Neil Collishaw, BPEC’s CEO attended the NET Celebration of Skills 2024 held on Wednesday 23rd October at the exclusive BAFTA facilities in central London.
With over 150 attendees, the event celebrated the electrical industry’s best of British talent, including SkillELECTRIC and WorldSkills shining stars, industry success stories, and NET’s charitable skills projects.
National Electrotechnical Training (NET) is a registered UK charity that owns, manages and develops End Point Assessments and Assessments of Occupational Competence for the electrotechnical industry.
Also a charity, BPEC works very closely with NET, which also runs The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP). There are many parallels between the two organisations, who regularly share good practices and collaborate to ensure their efforts align.
“Attending the awards ceremony was an incredible experience. It was truly inspiring to witness such talent and dedication being celebrated. I felt honoured just to be in the room with so many accomplished individuals,” said Neil.
NET also developed and delivers the assessment of competence for the Electrotechnical and Domestic Electrician Experienced Worker Assessment and the end point assessment for the Domestic Electrician apprenticeship standard.
As a registered UK charity, any surplus NET generates is re-invested to support its charitable objects. NET is also proud to organise SkillELECTRIC, the industry’s skills competition and supports a number of industry projects, including The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP).
