Joint Statement from the National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies and BPEC

The National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies (the Skills Academy) and BPEC are working together to ensure Environmental Technologies training and assessment provision meets the high standards required by the sector.

This joint statement is to clarify the use of training materials in supporting the delivery of the BPEC Solar Thermal & Solar PV qualifications through Skills Academy hubs and spokes.

Both organisations have developed materials separately – during the development of the qualifications – and to a high quality.

Those hubs and spokes approved by BPEC to deliver their new Solar Thermal and Solar PV qualifications (which are mapped against National Occupational Standards) can use the BPEC materials to support the delivery of these BPEC qualifications only. Centres which deliver qualifications through other Awarding Organisations must use the materials developed by the National Skills Academy.
