Irish plumber John Robinson has won £8,000 from The BPEC Charity!
Irish plumber John Robinson has won £8,000 in the 2013 BPEC Life Awards.
John, from Ballyearl, Newtownabbey, County Antrim was presented with the award for his work alongside a village community in the Bluefields region of Nicaragua in a place called Rama Cay. John will be working alongside the Friends in Action charity to enable a good supply of water for the entire community of 40 homes through the use of storage tanks and wells.
John’s project was one of four awards totalling almost £30,000 presented by the BPEC Charity – the charitable arm of BPEC, which is the leading training and certification provider to the building services engineering sector.
They were announced at an awards ceremony attended by 100 representatives of the plumbing industry at Pride Park Stadium, Derby, on October 11th 2013. The awards, in memory of BPEC’s founding chairman Raymond J Brooks, were presented by the Charity’s Trustees.
