Smart Gas Training & Assessment hosts BPEC Visit

BPEC’s CEO, Neil Collishaw and Business Development Manager, Angela Gask recently visited Smart Gas Training & Assessment at its busy training facility near Ashbourne in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

Neil and Angela were given a tour of the centre by Adam Kolaszynski, Operations & Compliance Manager and Matthew Mellor, Trainer/Assessor, visiting best-in-class training facilities and hearing of their plans for the future.

Smart Gas Training & Assessment, tagline ‘ignite your potential’, has worked with BPEC since it was founded seven years ago. A training centre delivering domestic gas courses, for apprentices and experienced workers. They are approved to deliver BPEC’s Level 3 Diploma and End-point Assessment (EPA) for the Gas Engineering apprenticeship. They also offer training for Water Regs, Unvented, Heat Pump, Part L Energy Efficiency, Low Temp Hot Water, and BPEC Endorsed Cavity Wall Insulation.

With the centre’s apprentice numbers substantially increasing year on year – currently around 80 attend each week – it is expanding its training and assessment space for next year, and recently had new Heat Pump training equipment installed by one of its former students.

Adam said, “I can’t speak highly enough of how supportive, dynamic, and professional the whole BPEC team has been for us, from the administration staff, right through to all the technical managers”.

Neil said, “I’m proud of our long-standing working relationship with the Smart Gas team. What is particularly pleasing is they share BPEC’s principles of building trusted relationships with their customers and stakeholders.”  Neil continued, “I’d particularly like to thank Adam and Matthew for the tour of their excellent training centre.”
