BPEC joins industry colleagues to celebrate electrotechnical skills at Abbey Road Studios

BPEC was delighted to attend NET’s Celebration of Skills event, held at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London on Thursday 8 October 2026.

The event brought together representatives from across the electrotechnical industry to recognise and celebrate the achievements and skills of young people entering the sector, while providing an opportunity for industry stakeholders to connect and share their commitment to skills development.

Representing BPEC at the event, CEO Neil Collishaw welcomed the opportunity to celebrate emerging talent and strengthen relationships with industry colleagues.

Neil commented:

“A great event organised by NET and an excellent opportunity to network with industry colleagues and celebrate the excellent skills of young people in the electrotechnical sector.

“I’m proud that BPEC continues to work closely with NET. Both organisations are industry-led educational charities that do so much to reinvest back into the industry.”

BPEC and NET share a commitment to supporting the development of a skilled and competent workforce, with both organisations playing important roles in maintaining industry standards and supporting vocational education and training.

BPEC’s contribution to the electrotechnical sector includes qualifications forming part of The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership’s (TESP) Electrician Plus framework, which provides opportunities for qualified electricians to develop additional skills and broaden their areas of competence.

As the industry continues to evolve, access to recognised qualifications and opportunities for upskilling remains essential in helping electricians respond to new technologies and changing industry requirements.

BPEC was pleased to support NET’s Celebration of Skills and looks forward to continuing its close working relationship with NET and other industry partners.
