“Bansang Hospital are really proud to add the first woman to their Maintenance team. This is really pushing the boundaries and is setting the standard for others to follow their example. Fatoumatah is training to be an electrician and is becoming an integral part of the team.

We were able to fit in a visit to the Gambian Technical Training Institute. This is the main vocational training centre in The Gambia. It was really interesting to see how the plumbing training is delivered at this institute and how it compares to Centres in the UK.”
