Oxford Energy Academy BPEC Apprentice
Based in Witney, Oxford Energy Academy is Oxfordshire’s leading specialist training centre for plumbing, heating and gas engineering training. In the Autumn of 2014 their new training centre for Apprentices was opened by David Cameron. After a successful first year the number of apprentices enrolling in September 2015 was more than twice the number who enrolled in 2014!
Johnny Ayris successfully completed his BPEC Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating (Gas Fired Water and Central Heating Appliances) at Oxford Energy Academy whilst working for Witney-based plumbing and heating engineer, MJ Few.
Company owner, Martin Few said “Oxford Energy Academy have provided excellent training for Johnny, we have found the training centre very helpful and efficient. The training Johnny has received there has been first class and I am pleased that he is now working for me as a fully qualified engineer”
Johnny commented “I enjoyed my time at Oxford Energy Academy. The tutors are helpful and explain things in a way that is easy to understand. I’ll be back there in the future to keep up my training.”
Course tutor, Jake, remarked “Oxford Energy Academy’s tutors work hard to ensure that all our students can achieve their full potential. Johnny is just the first of many apprentices who are due to complete their training in the next few months.”
Apprentices work for local employers for the most of the week and attend Oxford Energy Academy one day per week. At Oxford Energy Academy apprentices study theory in our well-appointed classrooms and gain practical experience in our specially designed workshop as well as improving their English, Maths and ICT skills.
Oxford Energy Academy’s BPEC Approved Apprentice Training Centre provides students with the opportunity to learn valuable theory and practical plumbing skills from their knowledgeable tutors whilst earning a wage and gaining work experience from their employers.
