WorldSkills

SkillPLUMB is part of the WorldSkills UK network and is the only route by which plumbing students and apprentices can have a chance to represent their country and compete internationally. If selected to join Squad or Team UK, competitors will be put through a rigorous training programme to bring them up to world-class standard before their international appearance on the global stage at future EuroSkills and WorldSkills competitions.

EuroSkills 2025 Latest: We are delighted to announce that SkillPLUMB 2023 UK Finalist Andrew McCann has been awarded a Medallion for Excellence after an outstanding performance at EuroSkills 2025, supported by WorldSkills UK Training Manager Ronnie Ferris MBE. 

Earlier in the year Andrew was also selected to train as part of ‘Squad UK’, to be in with a chance of competing at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026. We wish Andrew the best of luck as he continues his skills competition journey.

EuroSkills 2025 took place in Herning, Denmark across September 9th-13th and welcomed up to 600 young people from across Europe, competing for medals in 38 different skills.

WorldSkills 2024 result: We were proud to witness Ruben Duggan being awarded the Plumbing & Heating silver medal at WorldSkills Lyon 2024! Ruben’s WorldSkills journey started with his SkillPLUMB UK gold medal win in 2022, following this he excelled at EuroSkills 2023, where he received the bronze medal. Now this WorldSkills silver medal win rounds off an amazing two years for this talented young plumber.
